Our automated genotyping system only uses one third of your sample's lysate. The other two thirds are sealed in the well plate, which we store for six months free of charge. Yes, our system is excellent for regularly genotyping single nucleotide polymorphisms when breeding mice, rats, and zebrafish. We use a TaqMan-based assay with a set of primers and two fluorescent labeled probes for real-time PCR detection.

While most of our customers genotype mice, rats, or zebrafish, we also genotype species like goats and rabbits. We can easily set up a housekeeping gene for your model organism. Simply contact our customer service representative to get started.
